INSS: International Network for the Study of Spirituality, biennial congresses

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The International Network for the Study of Spirituality (INSS) is unique. Founded in 2010, it brings together people interested in spirituality from the fields of research, science, education, and technology to discuss spirituality broadly and critically. The aim is to bring the teaching of spirituality into school management, education, the professional world, and everyday life.

The network publishes the widely read Journal for the Study of Spirituality.

The biennial congress provides a forum for the exchange of research results, conceptual work, and interdisciplinary discussions. It also promotes a clearer, more universal understanding of “spirituality in everyday life.”

INSS is recognized as a charity in the United Kingdom and is registered as a limited liability company under number 1166990.

The organization's stated goals are as follows:

"For the benefit of society in the United Kingdom and internationally, awareness, understanding, respect for spirituality, and support for it for the benefit of people, both in professional contact and in the wider community, should be promoted through:

  • Critical examination of all aspects of spirituality
  • Education on these topics and dissemination of this information
  • The development of inclusive and respectful strategies and appropriate tools."
